An upcoming Hero Item in Fortnite may resemble the Airbending power from Chapter 5 Season 2.

A popular Fortnite leaker has revealed that a new Hero Item could be on the way, and it might share a lot of qualities with the old Airbending power that was in the game during Chapter 5 Season 2. Fortnite recently launched Chapter 6 Season 3, which brought iconic DC superheroes like Robin and Superman to the island.
The launch of the new season came with all the features one might expect, like new weapons, skins, locations, and even some superpowers. However, Fortnite made a surprising change to the Chapter 6 Season 3 battle pass, which features Superman. With the launch of every season, one battle pass character is locked behind a release date. Typically, the skin and its accessories can’t be acquired until the season reaches some kind of midway point, as was the case with Godzilla in Chapter 6 Season 1 and General Grievous in the Galactic Battle mini-season. This time, gamers can gain early access to the Superman skin by purchasing the Battle Bundle in the Item Shop for 1,800 V-Bucks, which is a first for the popular battle royale.
In a recent post on Twitter, the prominent leaker Loolo_WRLD revealed that a new Hero Item could be coming to Fortnite soon. They referred to it as a “Reboot Surf Item” and shared an image of what appears to be a character riding on a digital board. According to Loolo_WRLD, the new item might function similarly to the Airbending ability from Chapter 5 Season 2, which was introduced as part of a collaboration with Avatar: The Last Airbender. The new Hero Item may allow gamers to boost, remain in the air while jumping, landing, and turning, and go through water. Hero Items give players new abilities to use in the middle of a match. For instance, Fortnite‘s Killswitch Revolvers give players to dodge while midair and enter a sort of bullet time that allows them to hang in the air while firing.
An Upcoming Fortnite Hero Item May Work Like Airbending
While many players have been enjoying the Hero Items, some people have expressed disappointment over a recent nerf to the Bass Boost in Fortnite. In a new update, Epic Games reduced the structural damage of the Bass Boost from 2,000 to 245. The explosion radius of the Hero Item was also reduced by 50%, and even the energy blast’s duration was shortened from five seconds to four seconds. The changes significantly impacted how powerful the Bass Boost is against builds.
Chapter 6 Season 3 appears to be a big hit with a lot of gamers, and many fans have had an especially positive reaction to the new “Animated Dads” section of the Item Shop. Over Father’s Day weekend, Fortnite brought three iconic dads to the game from the television shows King of the Hill, Bob’s Burgers, and Family Guy. With so much content to enjoy and even more on the way, many fans are excited about the future of Fortnite.
