Free cosmetic DLC coming to Star Wars Outlaws on May 15, inspired by the Skeleton Crew TV show.

Gamers will soon be able to get their hands on some free new cosmetic DLC for Star Wars Outlaws inspired by the popular TV show, Skeleton Crew. The upcoming Star Wars Outlaws DLC is set to be released for all players on May 15, alongside the A Pirate’s Fortune story expansion.
The launch of Star Wars Outlaws in August 2024 wasn’t as big a hit as Ubisoft may have hoped or needed it to be. Although the game scored okay among critics, with a Top Critic Average of 75 on review aggregator OpenCritic, it wasn’t enough to stop the bad sales news for Star Wars Outlaws, which has continued into this year. Despite this, Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment have continued to release new updates for the game to improve the experience for players, as well as release new DLC to add more content to the Star Wars title.
In a post on X, Star Wars Outlaws confirmed that a new cosmetic set inspired by the Skeleton Crew TV show will be coming to the game for free. The set appears to include tassels for the handles of Kay’s speeder, a new piece of clothing for Star Wars Outlaws‘ adorable companion Nix, and a pack of thermal detonators to place on the side of the speeder. However, there’s a notable lack of any new cosmetics for protagonist Kay Vess, although for free, it’s hard to complain.
Star Wars: Skeleton Crew-Inspired Cosmetics are Coming to Outlaws on May 15
Gamers don’t have long to wait before they can get their hands on this set, either. It is set to be released on May 15, the same day that Star Wars Outlaws‘ A Pirate’s Fortune DLC launches. While A Pirate’s Fortune will be paid, all players will get this pack for free. To celebrate the DLC’s release, Star Wars Outlaws also released a free demo for fans to try out, giving them access to three hours of gameplay on Tatooine.
There’s plenty for Star Wars fans to look forward to in the video game space in the near future. At Star Wars Celebration, Star Wars Zero Company revealed its first trailer and gameplay, giving players their first glimpse at what Bit Reactor and Respawn have been working on in the tactical turn-based title. Star Wars Outlaws is set to launch on the Nintendo Switch 2 on September 4, 2025, too.
