Fortnite is releasing a new Mandalorian Rising update on May 22.

Fortnite has shared new details about its upcoming Mandalorian Rising update, which will bring the fan-favorite warriors to the island with new items and weapons on May 22. Epic Games recently released Fortnite‘s first Star Wars-themed mini-season titled Galactic Battle, which has added iconic characters like Mace Windu, Emperor Palpatine, and General Grievous to the battle royale.
While the Star Wars mini-season has been popular with a large portion of the community, Fortnite is currently facing some legal trouble after adding an AI version of Darth Vader to the game. Shortly after the NPC was released, SAG-AFTRA issued a lawsuit against Epic Games for its use of AI. Currently, players are able to recruit Darth Vader into their squad and have fully voiced conversations with the Sith Lord, which has resulted in many content creators posting clips of their interactions online.
Epic Games recently posted a new trailer giving players a fresh look at what they can expect to see when the Mandalorian Rising update releases in Fortnite on May 22. According to the description under the new trailer, players will be able to recruit a Scout, Supply, Heavy, or Medic Mandalorian to their squad, which will likely cost a bit of gold. Furthermore, fans will once again be able to utilize the Mandalorian Jetpack, as the item will be unvaulted once the update goes live. That’s not all, as new weapons will also be added to Fortnite‘s loot pool. Players will soon be able to wield the Amban Sniper Rifle and the new dual-wield WESTAR-34 Blaster Pistols.

Fans can also expect to see fresh cosmetics in the Item Shop, as it was recently leaked that a new Mandalorian skin will be coming to Fortnite on May 22 as well. According to rumors, the skin will be fully customizable, allowing players to swap out pieces of armor and symbols to create their perfect Mandalorian. Gamers will also be able to change the color scheme of their character. The skin itself is said to be priced at 1,800 V-Bucks, while a bundle that includes emotes, a back bling, and a pickaxe will be priced at 2,500 V-Bucks. Many fans seem to be excited about the skin, as it will likely be one of the most customizable cosmetics in the game so far.
Epic Games also announced that Fortnite is once again available on iOS devices in the United States. After a lengthy legal dispute, the courts ruled that Apple needed to allow Fortnite back on the platform after being unavailable for several years. With so much content to enjoy and even more on the way, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future of the popular battle royale.
