Epic Games is collaborating with soccer star Son Heung-min to release a skin in Fortnite on June 21.
Epic Games has revealed that it will be bringing the South Korean professional soccer star Son Heung-min to Fortnite as a skin on June 21. Fortnite recently wrapped up its Galactic Battle mini-season, which featured its largest collaboration with the Star Wars franchise so far.
After blowing up the Death Star, players crashed back down to the island for the launch of Chapter 6 Season 3 of Fortnite. The battle pass for the new season features iconic superheroes like Robin and Superman. This version of the Man of Steel is modeled after his appearance in the upcoming film Superman, which is being directed by James Gunn. While the skin is scheduled to unlock on July 11 (which is the same day the film’s release), players can access the cosmetic early by purchasing a Battle Bundle for 1,800 V-Bucks.

Son Heung-min isn’t the first soccer star to get a skin in Fortnite, as the game has also featured collaborations with celebrities like Neymar Jr and Lionel Messi. From what was shared, Son Heung-min’s bundle will contain various items, including a skin and emote, though Epic Games hasn’t announced just how much the cosmetics will cost players.
It seems as if several collaborations could be making their way to the battle royale, as leakers have claimed that multiple animated Fox properties will be coming to Fortnite in the near future. According to rumors, Epic Games is organizing collaborations with King of the Hill, Bob’s Burgers, and Family Guy. While an official release date hasn’t been announced, ShiinaBR has claimed that the upcoming cosmetic bundles will be released on June 13. With a whole new season to enjoy and even more content on the way, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future of Fortnite.
