Marvel Rivals is celebrating the anniversary of its first Closed Alpha by releasing the Galacta’s Gift event.

Marvel Rivals has announced that it will be celebrating the anniversary of its first Closed Alpha by releasing the Galacta’s Gift event, which will also bring back the Season 0 battle pass for a limited time. NetEase Games recently released Season 2 of Marvel Rivals, which added Emma Frost to the hero shooter’s ever-expanding roster.
Many fans are eagerly awaiting the mid-season update for Season 2, as it will introduce the villain Ultron to Marvel Rivals. It has been confirmed that Ultron will be a Strategist, meaning he’ll take down his foes while providing support to his allies. It was recently leaked that he may have a team-up ability with Iron Man that enhances his drones, which may attack nearby enemies automatically.
In a recent post on Twitter, NetEase Games announced that it would be celebrating the anniversary of Marvel Rivals‘ Closed Alpha by launching a special event called Galacta’s Gift. The company also released Dev Talk Vol.14, which went into more detail about the event. Starting on May 15, players will be able to earn rewards by simply playing the game, which includes a nameplate, sprays, Chrono Shield Cards, and even a Costume Coin. The Costume Coin is, perhaps, the most valuable item being offered, as it will allow gamers to claim one of the original 33 costumes that made their debut with the game in December 2024. It’s worth noting that the Costume Coin is only for the costume itself, not the bundle that includes an emote, spray, nameplate, and MVP screen.
Marvel Rivals Is Launching Galacta’s Gift and Bringing Back the Season 0 Battle Pass
In addition to the special Galacta’s Gift event, NetEase Games announced that it would be bringing back Marvel Rivals‘ Season 0 battle pass for a limited time. The developers stated that many fans who came to the game after Season 0 have been asking for a chance to claim items from the Season 0 battle pass, so they’re bringing it back for a limited time. The Season 0 battle pass will be available from May 15 through May 29. It will be available to purchase for 590 Lattice, which is a special promotional price.
The developers also mentioned that they may consider bringing back more of Marvel Rivals‘ battle passes in the future. However, they noted that any battle passes that make their return in the future will be marked up by at least 20% from when they made their original debut. They also stated that any return would span at least two seasons, meaning people who miss out on the initial release will have to wait a while before a battle pass circles back again. With a new event to participate in and even more content just around the corner, many players are feeling optimistic about the future of Marvel Rivals.
